Solutions for making medicine dispensing more safe

We provide solutions for the quality control of the packaging of medicine bags or pouches. Saving pharmacists valuable time. Our checking devices automatically check the content of each bag, ensuring that they contain the right medication. The device photographs each bag and stores the picture for later reference. ZiuZ’s checking devices are compatible with a wide range of packaging robots.

Detailed Evidence of Packaging

The Photon and IRIS photograph each dosage bag in great detail, front and back. Using optimal and uniform lighting to maintain accuracy and consistency. These photos are saved in a central storage and can be easily retrieved.

This way, your packaging process is transparent at all times. The photos can be used as evidence, should you need to check an error report from a client or patient. The Photon software is user friendly and network based, so you can access, download and distribute the relevant photos from any device or location within your organization.

Finding errors easily

The Photon and IRIS use advanced visual intelligence technology. Using various parameters, including color, size, shape, number and combination, the Photon meticulously analyses the contents of each medication dosage bag. If the Photon or IRIS detects an error, the bag is rejected and marked using color-coding on the Viewer monitor.

The Photon and IRIS check for content, medicines dropped a bag too early or too late, medicines caught in the seal, the number of medicines, damaged medicines and damaged packaging. No error goes undetected and analysis is evidenced.

More work in less time

ZiuZ Photon and IRIS save you considerable time. Only those dosage bags that have been identified as erroneous need checking.

The Photon can process up to 5,400 bags per hour, whereas ZiuZ IRIS can process a maximum of 2,000 bags per hour. Both solutions are extremely accurate. The contents of dosage bags can be checked on a viewing screen at a workstation of your choice. Increasing efficiency while reducing the sensitivity and monotony of the work. To optimally set up your work processes, the Photon XT cuts and secures the dosage bags into rolls per patient.

Better quality using production analysis

The Photon’s and IRIS’ comprehensive software package recognizes and categorizes dosage bag contents. In addition, the Photon collates various statistics, enabling the auditing of your internal processes.

With the Photon and IRIS, you can establish if something is wrong in a dosage bag, see exactly what is wrong and where the error occurred. This enables you to optimize your packaging process and deliver a reliable product.

Universal technology

The Photon and IRIS are independent of the dispensing machine. ZiuZ has developed software that can be applied to any type of pre-packaged dosage bag, so you can always benefit from the Photon.

The Photon and IRIS can be connected to any make of dispensing machine, so you can always opt for the best and fastest means of control.

ZiuZ currently supplies its leading Photon and IRIS devices to clients all over the world. We keep up with the latest developments and innovations and we will continue to do so. This gives you the assurance of having the most advanced technology at your disposal.

Customized to production levels

The Photon and IRIS are fully customizable. The Photon 24 (checking 2,400 bags an hour) and the Photon 36 (checking 3,600 bags an hour) can both be easily upgraded to a higher capacity, to a Photon 36 or 54 (5,400 bags per hour) respectively. This means you can start with an entry-level device and increase capacity at a later stage.
